One Detonation Does Two Things
The core of xBomb is a bomb symbol. When it appears on the board and detonates, it does two things at once:
- Clears: removes the symbols around it (or across the patch that title's rules define), freeing up space.
- Multiplies: adds +1 to this spin's multiplier.
The blasted-out gaps do not stay empty — the symbols above drop in to fill them, and if the drop forms another paying combination, it settles again. That 'remove → drop → settle again' loop is the skeleton of cluster/drop games, and xBomb makes 'the detonation' the fuse for that chain.
xBomb = a bomb detonates, clearing a patch of symbols to free space for the drop while adding +1 to this spin. Clearing and multiplying are the same action.
The Chain: Why One Good Detonation Can Fire Several Waves
xBomb usually lives inside cluster-style games, and cluster games already have the 'winning symbols vanish, symbols above drop in, refills settle again' chain ability. xBomb amplifies that chain:

Temperament: Concentrated, Sparse, Riding on Whether the Blasts Chain
xBomb's temperament is tied to its chaining: most spins are unremarkable, and value concentrates in the few spins that detonate in a row. Whether you stack the multiplier high depends on whether the drop produces another bomb and another win — which is itself random, and the spins that fail to stack are the majority.
A few detonations in a row maxing out the multiplier can look like 'getting into a groove', but every drop is an independent result. A beautiful chain this wave does not make the next one chain more easily. It creates process volatility, not a predictable rhythm.
In other words, xBomb is a textbook high-volatility structure: occasionally a spin stacks the multiplier sky-high through chained detonations, while most spins carry just one or two sparse blasts. It parks the return in the few moments that 'chain'.
